In todays business world, a computer can be thought of as a tool to help you cope with information. With the help of computers vast amounts of information can be easily shared (through effective website design for example), collected (through forms), stored (in an efficient database design) and processed using the appropriate computer software.
One of the original ideals of computer design was to help make life easier, taking care of those jobs that are often considered repetitive or monotonous and by their nature are therefore also prone to error. Russell believes this is more a reality today than ever, through the use of modern development techniques and environments, software can effectively support those areas of your business that take you away from your passion, the business itself.
CMC’s technical consultant Russell Agnew has a wealth of experience with computers and programming, having had a computer since the age of eight. Russell has worked for international technology distributor Ingram Micro in e-commerce and as a network and software support engineer for Blackbay NZ (formerly iTouch).
He has completed a Diploma in Computing at the Open University and graduated from Christchurch-based computer college Computer Power in 2005 with a Diploma in Network Engineering (NZQA level 5).
Russell started up CMC in 2005 and since doing so he has developed a real passion for his work.
